Peter Holsapple Athens Concert reviews
TBS and Anberlin: A Powerfull Energy!
I have always been a HUGE fan of Anberlin for many years now. When Peter Holsapple got big, I'm not too familiar with their latest cd's lyrics, but even so, I felt that his shows might not be as much fun. I was wrong. They did an 80's cover and told everyone to dance eighties style and that was really fun. It's like one moment you're thinking "I need an energy drink, it's the end of a long day... etc." and then they come out and start playing and it's like something kicks you and makes you refreshed and just want to move around and sing to their songs. The Grove in Anaheim is not that big of a venue and it was incredible seeing TWO huge bands such as TBS and Peter Holsapple there.
I used to go to his shows when he was in small venues. Over all, this show was one of the best shows I have ever gone to. I will definitely be there in the front row singing every lyric to every one of his songs!! This show was especially fun because Peter Holsapple played with them. They too have some way of making you feel an energetic rush as they come out on stage. Also, I had never heard The Juliana Theory before this night, but now that I have, I have to say that they too were an amazing opening band. I can't wait for Anberlin to play in the Los Angeles area again.
